Poor execution of a good concept. Weak character build up and back story. I still couldn't figure who or what that one eyed lady and her 2 friends were. I still couldn't understand the ending, and NO, it WASN'T an open book. People like Christopher Nolan can do it because they know what they're doing. I was skeptical about my views that maybe there is something that'll happen later on, I even wanted to stop the film at a point and watch some real good horror movie instead, but I still watched it till the end, only to realise that really, they didn't know what they were doing.
8 out of 10 things remained unclear throughout the whole movie. Be it the mysterious Daadi, that first guy and his death (or whatever it was) with which the film began, or that kid banging her head at the temple. Every thing is so blurred that you can barely figure out what's going on and why it's happening, you have to assume a lot of things to go with the movie's flow, and the worst part is that no one or nothing clarified any of these things, it just looks like someone's edited and chopped a 3 hour film into a 1.5 hr film. Total time waste and also wastage of such a skilled actor like Shabana Azmi.
Story build-up was really good with full of suspense and mystery. But the climax spoiled everything. Cinematography was brilliant. Concept was good,it gives a really good message. Scary part is minimal and nothing much to shout about. Can be a one time watch if u r not too choosy about films
